Ian Shirley, Joe Shirley, Helen Hesketh and David Hesketh from Rugby in Warwickshire, Great Britain have built a completely new Tractor for the Light Mod class during the last 2 years.
The British Team has purchased the old tube frame with the complete rearend of the MPM Seaside Affair, 2 years ago. In the package were also included the fenders, a set of used Midwest rims and the 2 Ford V8 engines with the 3 discs Crower clutches. The rear axle has a special made differential from the Green Monster Team from Füchtorf in Germany and Franklin planetaries from Willem Veldhuizen (Double D), the Netherlands. The Tractor got a new tow hitch and a new brake system from van der Waal Pulling Parts, a new homemade drivetrain, new homemade drive shafts, the old Crossbox of the Double Screamin´ from the Netherlands, new homemade engine brackets and a used SCS reverser from the Snoopy Pulling Team. The methanol fuel tank on the front end of the chassis also come from the Screamin´ Bobcat Team from Ijsselmuiden in the Netherlands. The set of used Firestone Puller 2000 HP tyres for the Tractor were purchased by Willem Veldhuizen in Loosdrecht, the Netherlands.
The Light Mod is powered by 2 methanol injected Ford V8 547cui engines. Each Ford V8 engine has a 8-71 Littlefield blower with a Enderle scoop, Fowler rods and Venolia pistons, Eliminator Performance cylinder heads, a Enderle fuel system and a Mallory Supermag ignition.
The Knightmare Pulling Team will compete with their new Light Mod Tractor called ,,The Knight´´ in the British Championship (BTPA) this year.
