The new Great Experience

From Overberg in the Netherlands, the Great Experience Pulling Team around Wilco van Laar and Gerard Hardeman are building on a new New Holland 4.5t Component Super Sport Tractor at the moment. After the sell of both 3.6t Super Sport Tractors called ,,Smoking Granny´´ and ,,Great Experience´´, the Team decided to building a new Tractor for the 4.5t Super Sport class. The planning and CAD work on the computer of the new one started in the end of 2015. The most of the CAD work was done by crew member Maarten de Kruijf. The new Tractor receives a new homemade S420 steel wedge frame with a homemade Rollcage, a homemade hydraulic steering, new fenders and a new hood of a New Holland T7 270 and a DAF Truck rearend. The hood and the fenders are based on the current New Holland T7 series. The Super Sport Tractor gets a DAF 1339 Truck rear axle with a DAF center section, a DAF ring and pinion gear, a homemade needle bearing differential, stock Mercedes planetary carrier housing with Mercedes planetaries and
van der Waal Pulling Parts brakes with self constructed brake discs. The new Tractor will also have a Profab 3 speed transmission, a homemade drivetrain, a 5 disc JVG centrifugal clutch with a size of 12.5" inch and a homemade clutch bell housing from Wilco van Laar. The new steel rims of the new vehicle are homemade and the set of new Michelin 710/70R38 tyres were cut by Hans Heesakkers from the Netherlands.
The new Great Experience will have an 6 cylinder FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) Cursor 9 engine with 8.3l capacity. The new Cursor engine gets a stock crankshaft with special made rods (manufactured by Chris Maassen) and billet pistons, billet sleeves, a modified FPT stock cylinder head with 24 valves and billet camshafts, a homemade intake and exhaust manifold, a Holset HX 82 turbocharger, a 8600 Bosch P diesel fuel pump, a homemade fuel tank and a homemade water Intercooler. All in all, the new Tractor also has the basic for an Pro Stock or an Super Stock in the future.
The Great Experience Pulling Team will compete in the Dutch Championship (NTTO 4.5t Super Sport Promoniveau division) this year. The maiden voyage of the new Super Sport Tractor is planned for 2017.
