Q & A with Lutz Fleißig

Lutz Fleißig, 33 years old from Füchtorf in Germany. Lutz is the son of the former ETPC Tech & Saefty Board member Michael Fleißig and the owner and driver of the Continental V12 powered Light Mod Tractor called ,,The Outlaw´´.


pullingworld.com: What are you doing in your normal life?
Lutz Fleißig: I´m a industrial mechanic at Claas (Harvester Company).

pullingworld.com: What do you like to do in your free time, except Tractor Pulling?
Lutz Fleißig: I like motorcycles, working on them, driving and a bit od racing. Also working on different stuff here at home and spending time with nice and funny people. 

pullingworld.com: What do you like on Tractor Pulling?
Lutz Fleißig: The engines you never see anywhere else running under Pulling conditions, the oppotunity to build your own stuff and test it, the great friendship in the Tractor Pulling Family world wide.The very unique persons involved in this sport.
  
pullingworld.com: What was your first Tractor Pulling event?
Lutz Fleißig: Don´t know. I was too young to remember.

pullingworld.com: What is your favourite Event / Pulling track?
Lutz Fleißig: Under good conditions the Krumbach (D) track is one of my favourites. Event is Made (NL) for sure.

pullingworld.com: When and where do you have driven a Pulling Tractor for the first time?
Lutz Fleißig: Füchtorf (D) 1999 with a Stock Bolens Lawn Mower. We had a small rope directly connected to the throttle body. Was kind of suicide mower.

pullingworld.com: What was your biggest success?
Lutz Fleißig: Winning the German Championship in the 500kg Modified class in 2008. And maybe our run with the Continental in Grimmen (D) last year. Stuff worked great that day.

pullingworld.com: Which Pulling classes do you like too?  
Lutz Fleißig: Light Modified here in Europe, because of many different engines in that class, Super Stocks, Hot Farm and Minis.

pullingworld.com: What was your biggest disappointment?
Lutz Fleißig: Maybe this season......
  
pullingworld.com: Which things must be change in the future of the Tractor Pulling sport?
Lutz Fleißig: We have to take care for new people coming up. They need a perspective to start something in the sport.

pullingworld.com: What's your plans for the future in Tractor Pulling?  
Lutz Fleißig: Built it, race it, break it, fix it, repeat.


pullingworld.com: What was for you the most important moment in the sport?   
Lutz Fleißig: To speak for Europe..... The first Aircraft and V8 Modifieds which came over from the States and the first ones they´ve built here.

pullingworld.com: What was your favourite Pulling Tractor project in the workshop during a winter?   
Lutz Fleißig: Our 500kg Modified with 4 250 Honda 2-stroke engines and putting some Turbos on the Continental V12.
