The new First Choice

The First Choice Pulling Team around Michael Mikkelsen and Jan Mikkelsen from Ringkobing in Denmark have built a new 950kg Mini Modified during the last 14 months. The new Mini Rod has a Docol tube frame with a Docol Rollcage (ROP), a Advance Chassis rearend and Polycarbonat fenders. The Tractor got a Rockwell F106 rear axle with a Rockwell ring and pinion gear, Strange rear axle driveshafts, a aluminium center section from TRB, a Rockwell differential and Willwood brakes with brake discs from Strange.
The Team purchased the Chassis, rear axle etc. from Emil Roth (Nasty Toy Pulling Team) in Sweden, last year. In the package were also included a set of Real Racing Wheel aluminium rims with Cepek Puller tyres. The vehicle has a SCS chrome-moly driveline, a SCS 30 series transmission with a SCS heavy-duty 10 series reverser, a 11´´ inch Eagle centrifugal clutch with 2 discs from Finland and a Browell aluminium clutch bell housing. The new design and stickers on the fenders were made by their sponsor CM-Lakering & Skilte in Ringkobing, Denmark.
The new First Choice Mini Rod is powered by a Keith Black Hemi V8 engine with 526 cui. on methanol. The engine has a Keith Black Stage 6 block, Veney cylinderheads with Sassy Racing Stage 2 camshafts, Moroso valve covers, a billet Windberg crankshaft with MGP aluminium rods and Sassy Racing pistons, Dan Olsen Racing exhaust headers, a new Littlefield 14-71 supercharger with a JBR carbon fiber injector, a Sassy Racing fuel system with 2 methanol fuel pumps, a homemade methanol fuel tank and a MSD Pro Mag 44 ignition. Michael and Jan Mikkelsen will compete in the Danish Championship this year. The maiden run of the new First Choice Mini Mod is planned for 6th of May 2017 at Danish Championship opener in Brande, Denmark.
