Back to the Top: The new DPP Rednex

From Vroomshoop in the Netherlands, the Rednex Pulling Team around Arjan van der Kolk have built a new Steyr Component Pro Stock Tractor during last winter. After 13 years in Pro Stock Pulling, the Dutch Team had decided during the last season to built a Component Tractor, because the old Tractor was uncontrollable with it´s power.
The Pro Stock Tractor got a homemade Domex 700 wedge frame with a homemade steel Rollcage, homemade whellie bars, a Rockwell rearend, a homemade hydraulic steering, selfmade aluminium fenders and a new Steyr CVT 6230 sheet metal hood. The new hood of the Tractor was sponsored by the Steyr factory from Austria.
The Rockwell rearend has received a new Humpco aluminium center section with a Humpco billet differential, a Rockwell ring and pinion gear and homemade aluminium planetary carrier housing with special made MAN planetaries. Special on the rear axle is, you can look on the back of the Tractor through a special made sight glass into the rearaxle. Also the new ride got a Humpco reverser with a homemade drivetrain, a 11´´ inch Eagle centrifugal clutch with 4 discs from Finland and a new Browell aluminium clutch bell housing.
The Team bought for the vehicle a set of new Northern Sheen aluminium rims from Canada with a set of new Firestone 24.5-32 Puller 2000 HP Pro Stock tyres. The tyres for the Steyr were purchased and cut by the John Deere Pulling Team in Denmark.
The DPP Rednex is powered by a 6 cylinder Steyr engine with 8.3l capacity on diesel fuel. The power plant has a Steyr 614 engine block with Darton sleeves, a revised Steyr cylinderhead with billet steel camshafts, titanium valves and Triple Top Fuel valve springs, a new counterweighted Steyr stock crankshaft with homemade steel rods and forged aluminium pistons, a homemade aluminium air/water Intercooler, a homemade intake and exhaust manifold, a 5´´ inch billet turbocharger from Santen Technics, a Aviaid oil system with a Aviaid oil pump, DPP billet injectors, a DPP (Dutch Pump Performance, Dieseltechniek van der Kolk BV.) Sigma diesel fuel injection pump with 17mm elements and a Racepak datalogger.
Arjan and his Team is pleased with the first test hooks in front of the sled so far this year. The Steyr Tractor is currently completely dismantled and ready for the new paintjob and design. After those big changes, the Team hopes to get back on the top of the Dutch Grand National Chamionship standings this year.
The Rednex Pulling Team will compete in the Dutch Grand National Championship this year.
The first run of the DPP Rednex with the new paintjob and look is planned for the 29th of April 2017 at the German Championship opener in Füchtorf.
