The new Ghost

From Hellevad in Denmark, the Ghost Pulling Team around Kim Schultz, together with his father Frede Schultz and his both sons Martin and Marco Schultz have built a new 950kg Mini Rod Tractor during the last winter. After the sell of their Light Modified Tractor to Scotland in 2016, the Danish Team started with the building of the new Mini Mod in the end of 2016 in their workshop. The new Mini got a completely new homemade Docol tube frame with an homemade Docol Rollcage, a homemade steering, homemade aluminium fenders and a aluminium rearend. The rearend comes out of an old DDR military vehicle.
The drivers position on the new Chassis is 200mm more forward and the center of gravity is lower. Also the engine sits 45mm more forward now and the front axle moved 260mm further back. The Ghost Team hopes to get a better balance and more grip with the Cepek tyres with those changes in the future.
The DDR miltary vehicle rearend is supplied with homemade axles, a stock center section, a original ring and pinion gear and homemade brakes with self made brake discs. The new ride also have a homemade driveline, a 3 disc Crower centrifugal clutch with a size of 11´´ inch and a Trick Titanium clutch bell housing. Because of the weight, the new Tractor has no transmission. The new Mini received a set of old Wysong aluminium rims with Dick Cepek Puller 4ply tyres.
The new Ghost is powered by a supercharged Rover Meteor V12 tank engine. The engine has a stock block with original sleeves, stock cylinder heads with original camshafts, homemade exhaust headers, a stock Rover Meteor crank with stock rods and pistons, a old 14-71 Hillborn blower with a homemade aluminium injector, a homemade intake manifold, a selfmade methanol fuel injection system and a homemade fuel tank, a original oil pump and 2 MSD 10 ignitions.
The Ghost Pulling Team will compete with their new Tractor called ,,Ghost´´ in the Danish Championship this season.
