After many years with RR Griffon power in the 2.5t/5500lbs. Light Modified class, the Team from Georgsmarienhütte in Germany have decided in the end of 2016 to make the switch to the V8 power plants.
The new Tractor has received a homemade Domex 700 wedge frame with a homemade Chrome-Moly Rollcage, new Carbon Fiber fenders from the Rocket Science Pulling Team, a homemade steering, a Rockwell rearend and a set of used Midwest aluminium rims with Firestone Puller 2000 HP tyres. The drivers position
on the new Light Mod is more forward and the center of gravety is lower, than on his old Le Coiffeur Stage 8 single Griffon Tractor. The Team hopes to get a better balance with those changes. The rearend has a billet Humpco aluminium center section with a Rockwell ring and pinion gear, a aluminium differential from the Green Monster Team and SQHD magnesium planetary carrier housing with CAT 966 planetaries and new Audi RS4 brakes with Furka brake pads. The new vehicle also have a Humpco transmission with a homemade driveline, a 11´´ inch Molinari (MRP) centrifugal clutch with 4 discs and a Browell clutch bell housing. The new design and the stickers on the new carbon fiber fenders were made by Steffen Schaab (Deivel.biz) from Selent in Germany.
The new Le Coiffeur Stage 9 will powered by 2 Keith Black V8 Hemi engines on methanol. The power plants have a KB Stage 10 and a Stage 6 cast aluminium block with Veney cylinderheads, Moroso valve covers, billet Crower crankshafts with new MRP billet aluminium rods and Sassy Racing pistons, Dan Olson Racing Products exhaust headers, a SSI 14-71 blower with a Veney injector scoop, a Sassy Racing methanol fuel system, a new homemade stainless steel fuel tank and a MSD Pro Mag 44 ignition.
The German Team will compete with their new twin V8 Hemi powered Tractor in the German Championship this year.
