The new Top Dog Mini Modified

The Top Dog Pulling Team around Martin Westhoff from Kwintsheul in the Netherlands have built a completely new 950kg Modified Tractor during the last winter. Martin Westhoff, the owner and driver of the new Mini Mod is a former Team member of the Little Rascal Pulling Team from in the Netherlands. The Dutch Team started with the planning of the new Mini on the CAD programme in September 2015. Around christmas 2015, Martin together with his Team started with the building process of the Mini Mod in the workshop. In 2017, After almost 2 years of planning and building, the new Tractor made his maiden run in Stroe, the Netherlands. The new Mini received a homemade 25CrMo4 tube frame with an homemade Rollcage, a homemade steering, a self built sheet metal rearend and homemade aluminium fenders. The rearend has a Ford 9" inch rear axle with a billet aluminium differential, a billet aluminium center section, a special made ring and pinion gear and CNC milled aluminium planetaries carrier housing with special made gears. Bennie Vreeman of Vreeman Special Products have built the rear axle with all the parts for the new Team. The drivers position on the Tractor is much more forward and the center of gravity is lower than on some other Mini Mods in Europe. The Dutch guys hopes to get a better balance with the Pioneer tyres with those changes. The new Mini also have a Vreeman Special Products (VSP) reverser with a VSP driveline, a 11´´ inch Molinari centrifugal clutch with 2 discs and Browell aluminium clutch bellhousing with an 4mm steel liner. Martin and his Team bought for the new
CAD of the Top Dog Mini Mod
Mini a set of new Pioneer Giant Puller tyres with Real Wheel aluminium rims in the USA.
The Top Dog is powered by an BAE V8 Hemi engine on methanol fuel. The power plant has a BAE billet aluminium engine block with Veney 806 cylinder heads, Moroso valve covers, homemade steel exhaust pipes, a SSI 14-71 blower from the Fenrir Pulling Team with a Enderle aluminium scoop from the Screamin´ Bobcat Team, a Post & Dros fuel injection system with a Waterman fuel pump, a homemade oil and fuel tank, a dry sump lubrication, a billet Winberg crankshaft with billet aluminium rods and pistons, a MSD Pro Mag 44 ignition and a homemade Sigma control datalogger.
Owner and driver Martin Westhoff was happy so far with the first hooks in front of the sledge this year. The Top Dog Pulling Team will compete in the NTTO Dutch Grand National Championship and in the Euro Cup this year.
