pullingworld.com: What are you doing in your normal life?
Torben Hansen: In my“normal”life, I am the owner of a company that sells security solutions to all types of companies and private people. We sell everything from alarms systems to surveillance systems.
pullingworld.com: What do you like to do in your free time, except Tractor Pulling?
Torben Hansen: What is free time ;) , when you have your own company and drive Tractor Pulling, then there is not much free time left. But when I finally have some time free, I like to go to a concert or make a weekend trip with my wife and my friends.
When the time is there I also go to the arena to see Skjern handball plays.
pullingworld.com: What do you like about Tractor Pulling?
Torben Hansen: I like to see all the different builds teams has done, I'm a fan of details ;).
The friendship between teams across countries are quite unique.
In our own class the Light Modified, I like that there are so many different types of engines.
pullingworld.com: What was your first Tractor Pulling event?
Torben Hansen: The first event who i have visited was in Skjern many years ago, I think it was in the early 80s.
We were there to see a tractor called ,,Speedy´´, one of the first tractors built by Henrik Iversen.
pullingworld.com: What is your favourite Event / Pulling track?
Torben Hansen: There are some:
Brande (DK), because it´s our home track.
Hassmoor (D), because of all the spectators.
Made (NL), because of the very big event and the party.
pullingworld.com: When and where do you have driven a Pulling Tractor for the first time?
Torben Hansen: The first time was in Herning (DK) in 1990, with our first tractor. We started in the Mini Rod class. The first version of Gators had a Jaguar V12 engine with maybe 400hp.
pullingworld.com: What was your biggest success?
Torben Hansen: We have won the Danish Championship 6 times and also got some good results on the tracks across Europe. But the day we started the new Gators (Light Modified) up was a very special, we have / had put a lots of effort into building this tractor.
pullingworld.com: Which Pulling classes do you like too?
Torben Hansen: I like almost all the classes but the light modified class is my favorite right now.
If the Mini Rod class is like at the saturday night in Alphen (NL), it is a really good class with lots of action. All this is due to the new No Mercy 3.0 sled.
pullingworld.com: What was your biggest disappointment?
Torben Hansen: Maybe in Made (NL) 2017? but when you fall, stand up and grow stronger ;).
pullingworld.com: What are your plans for the future in Tractor Pulling?
Torben Hansen: The plan is to get the new Gators running perfect and have some success with the tractor. Then we will see what the future brings us ;).
pullingworld.com: What was for you the most important moment in the sport?
Torben Hansen: Of all I've experienced, it's probably the first startup of Gators.
pullingworld.com: What was your favourite Pulling Tractor project in the workshop during a winter?
Torben Hansen: That we have choose to turn the direction of rotation on one of our engines in hope to getting a more stable tractor on the track.
pullingworld.com: Something you want to say?
Torben Hansen: I would like to say thanks to all the friends and families who have helped around Team Gators through the many years we have been involved in tractor pulling.
