The new Brothers Toy is ready !

After more than 2 1/2 years of building, the new 7700lbs / 3.5t Component Limited Super Stock Tractor called ,,Brothers Toy´´ of the Vos brothers from Nieuwleusen, in the Netherlands is ready. After 2 years in the 5500lbs / 2.5t Light Modified class and the huge blow up of their turbocharged DAF 1260XF truck alky burner engine in Stroe, the Netherlands 2016, they decided because of the huge damage and the high costs not to rebuilt the Light Mod. Because of the Compact Diesel Pulling experience, a Pro Stock Tractor also was a possibility, but from financial point was that too expensive for the Team. After more considerations a Limited Super Stock was the best way for the future, also from financial view and they could use a lots of old parts of the old Light Modified Tractor, like the turbos, fuel system etc.
They started with the planning of the new machine in the end of 2016 on the computer. The Massey Ferguson was completely built on CAD by Berrie Boer of the Screamin' Bobcat Pulling Team from Ijsselmuiden in the Netherlands. Berrie also constructed on CAD the old Brothers Toy Light Modified Tractor of the Team in the past.
For the Limited Super Stock they have choose a new Massey Ferguson 7600 series hood. Also the fenders come from the current 7600 series.
The new Tractor received a completely new Domex 700 wedge frame with a new chrome-moly ROP, a homemade hydraulic steering, a new constructed drawbar and a machined Rockwell rearend. The parts for the Domex wedge frame were laser cut and bent by Tosec B.V in Zwolle, the Netherlands. The rest of the sheet metal work on the chassis and glass fibre work on the hood were made by the Team himself. The hood and the fenders were painted by Buitenhuis Straal en Spuitbedrijf, in the Netherlands. The rest of the parts like the chassis, cage, brackets etc are currently at the same company to get their colour. The Rockwell rearend was shortened and got a Humpco billet aluminium center section with a Humpco billet aluminium diff, a Humpco ring and pinion gear, aluminium planetaries carrier housing with special made MAN planetaries and Van der Waal Pulling Parts aluminium brake calipers with new steel brake rotors. The Dutch Team will use on the new MF 7600 a set of new polished Keizer aluminium rims with new 24.5-32 Firestone Puller 2000 HP tires. Those new Puller 2000 tires were cut by CM Pulling Tires from Reynolds, Indiana in the USA.
Also completley new is the drivetrain with a lots of good parts. The transmission in the vehicle comes from Humpco in the USA, Bennie Vreemann of Vampire Gears from Neede in the Netherlands has manufactured the driveline and the 11´´ inch centrifugal clutch with 4 discs from Molinari received a Eagle Clutches fly wheel and a Browell aluminium bell housing for the protection.
The new Brothers Toy is powered by a newly built turbocharged 6 cylinder Sisu power plant with 24 valves and 7l capacity on methanol fuel.
The engine got a machined Sisu 620 block, with new Sisu sleeves, a revised Sisu stock head with a steel camshaft, original Sisu valves and Ferrea valve springs, a billet Holset HX 82 turbocharger with a 4.25´´ inch intake impeller wheel, a self built steel intake and exhaust manifold, a STD Sisu stock crankshaft with new hardened Sisu rods, original Zetor pistons, a homemade fuel tank, a VSP (Veldhuizen Special Product) methanol fuel injection system with a Sassy Racing fuel pump, a Peterson oil pump, a MSD 8 ignition and a Racepak data logger.
The maiden run of the new Massey Ferguson wasn´t successful at the Indoor Pull in Zwolle. On the start the Sisu engine made good rpm´s, but after a few meters, the power plant started to backfire and went off. Back in the workshop, they dismanteled the Sisu engine and found some bent valves and a damaged camshaft. They found out, at high rpms the valves started to swimming and that isn't very healthy for the power plant. The valve springs will now new adjusted and the damaged cams of the camshaft will repaired. The Brothers Toy Pulling Team will compete with their new Component Limited Super Stock Tractor in Dutch National Championship and maybe on some pulls outside of the Netherlands this year.
