2015 European Tractor Pulling Championship - Brande - Denmark - Day 2

Made's Powerweekend completely cancelled for 2021!

The official statement from the organization:
🇬🇧 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙚’𝙨 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘

Some time ago, Made's Powerweekend Foundation had to announce that a Powerweekend with the presence of public is not yet possible.
In the meantime, the organization has been looking for ways to continue the TractorPulling competition without an audience and with a live stream. Despite the less strict measures that have been introduced and hopefully will come, this is practically impossible to realize.
The planned weekend of 18-19-20 June is still too early for an event. After consultation with the municipality, it has become apparent that they are currently unable to issue a permit, or that the conditions that must be met are not yet clear in order for us to be able to practically be implemented.
For the time being, Made’s Power Weekend Foundation is therefore focusing on the 3rd weekend of June in 2022.

Powerpull Sdr. Hygum (DK) 2021 cancelled!

From Powerpull.dk - Sdr. Hygum:
POWERPULL 2021 in Sdr. Hygum canceled!
The happy guests, the party, the noise and the black smoke will be missed in Sdr. Hygum this summer. The board behind POWERPULL has once again felt compelled to cancel the pull, due to developments in the situation around Covid19.
POWERPULL has arranged pulling events in Sdr. Hygum through 14 years, but the 15-year anniversary must wait to next year. It is now the 2nd year in a row that has been seen forced to cancel due to Covid19. The uncertainty around the development of infection, and any restrictions associated with arranging an event of this type, is of course the basis for the cancellation.
But it is not least the consideration for the responsibility that is felt participating drivers from DK and all other countries, spectators and not least the many volunteer helpers on the square who have pushed the board to make a cancellation.
POWERPULL and Sdr. Hygum is a non-profit organization that invests the profits from the pulls held in the local area.
Most recently, it has become one multi-track with the name "Powerpull Arena" for the benefit and enjoyment of both large and small people in Sdr. Hygum.
During 2021, several initiatives will be made on the pulling area, so everything is ready for July 23, 2022.
The board behind POWERPULL hoping for the usual good support, and hope to see you all to full throttle and black smoke 🚜😎
Please share.

2015 European Tractor Pulling Championship - Brande - Denmark - Day 1

Beachpull Putten (NL) 2021 cancelled!

The official statement from the organization:
With pain in our hearts we have to inform you that the anniversary edition of Beachpull Putten, which was scheduled for July 9 and 10, 2021, will not take place. You have undoubtedly followed the news and heard that all major events are prohibited until mid-June due to the Corona virus. You understand that this is very close to our competition dates.
All this time, intensive contact has been maintained with the municipality of Putten, because they ultimately have to give the green light for an event. The municipality indicates that the chance is very small that a Beachpull can be organized at all. We have therefore decided to move our Puttense event to 2022. In 2022, we hope to organize the Truck and Tractor Pulling spectacle again in Putten in 2022 and to still celebrate a big party in honor of the 20th anniversary.

On the 12th of May 2020, the pulling world lost another great pulling competitor. Longtime modified Allison puller Earl Howard from Taneytown, Maryland in the USA has passed at the age of 90. He was the owner and driver of the twin Allison powered mod called ''Hot Damn''.

The whole pullingworld team wishes Nancy, Danny, and the whole family a lot of strength to cope with this sad loss.

From Extreme Pulling Videos & Photos:
We at Eastern Extreme Pulling Videos & Photos would like to take a moment and express our deepest condolences to Nancy Weller and her family on the loss of her father Earl. Official IOWA STATE FAIR 2021 announcement.

The Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Assn is proud to be the first event in this newly constructed Elwell Family Park!

August 17 & 18th, 2021

More details to come!

New to the Iowa State Fair in 2021: The Elwell Family Park
The Elwell Family Park will feature family friendly events, including a tractor pull in 2021; other events, like barbecue competitions, monster trucks and rodeos anticipated in future years
DES MOINES, IA (05/03/2021) (readMedia)-- Today, 100 days from the opening ceremony of the 2021 Iowa State Fair, the Iowa State Fair is pleased to announce a new attraction in 2021, the Elwell Family Park, which is made possible thanks to a transformative gift from Denny and Candy Elwell. As a result of the Elwell's generosity, Fairgoers will enjoy the return of tractor pulls at the 2021 Iowa State Fair. Additional family friendly events will come in the future, including monster trucks, rodeos and barbeque competitions among others.
"The Iowa State Fair is the best part of our family's summer," said Denny Elwell. "Some of my fondest childhood memories are attending the Fair with my Mom and Dad. I have continued that family tradition bringing my children and now they are bringing their children to our great Iowa State Fair. Candy and I cherish the time we are able to spend here with our family, making memories they will treasure. Being able to share our love of the Iowa State Fair by contributing to its future is a great honor for our family. We are excited for the memories that the Elwell Family Park will create for Fairgoers."
Denny and Candy Elwell pledged $2 million to support the development of the Elwell Family Park, located in the northwest corner of the Fairgrounds. The Elwell Family Park was originally scheduled to break ground in 2020 and be completed for the 2021 Iowa State Fair. Due to COVID, the timeline for the project had to be reconfigured.
"The generosity of Denny and Candy Elwell is an inspiration for the Iowa State Fair," said Peter Cownie, Executive Director for the Blue Ribbon Foundation. "The Elwell Family Park is the capstone to the largest capital improvement project the Iowa State Fair has ever undertaken. Phase 1 of the Elwell Family Park will be a wonderful addition to the Iowa State Fair in 2021. The future is bright for Fairgoers because of the generosity of great Iowans like Denny and Candy."
For the 2021 Iowa State Fair, tractor pull fans will experience permanent seating for 2100, grass hills for viewing and additional seating, a concessions trailer and temporary restrooms. Additional seating, for a total capacity of 6000, permanent restrooms and expanded concessions will be completed in the near future.
The Elwell gift is dedicated to the development of this project to attract even more family friendly events for the enjoyment of Fairgoers now and in the future.
Iowa State Fair Tractor Pulls sponsored by Titan Tire, maker of Goodyear Farm Tires, will take place on August 17th and 18th.
Tickets will go on sale at www.iowastatefair.org with further details to come from the Iowa State Fair and Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pulling Association.

Light Limited Super Stocks at Zellwood Super Pull 2021

German 4.5t sport class tractor sold

The Oliver 1955 of Björn Schütte and Patrick Knue from Gleessen in North Germany has a new home now. The green tractor, which was built for the 4.5t/9920lbs and 5.5t/12125lbs sport class was already for sale since the end of the 2019 German pulling season. In 2019, Björn and his team also won the German Championship title in the 4.5t sport class with this machine. But that wasn't the only title for the team with this Oliver. They won in the past between 2013 and 2018 further German Championship titles too. Björn and Patrick also competed with the 1955 sometimes in the 4.5t super sport class, like in Kalkar, Germany in 2019. In June of 2020, the tractor was completely sold to 2 guys from the federal state of Nordrhein Westfalen. The two new owners of the Oliver 1955 are Manuel Terhorst from Emmerich am Rhein in Germany and Kai van Haal from Anholt in Germany. Both are experienced in farm stock pulling for quite a while.
Manuel Terhorst is the owner and driver of the IH hobby sport tractor called ''Red Gun'' and Kai van Haal is the owner and driver of the IH 744 hobby sport tractor called ''Trouble Maker''.
Both are team members of the Arrogante Hobbysportler team or also better known as Team Ramm Schwatt. This Team also owns a second IH hobby sport tractor which is called Red Sensation. With this tractor, the team won in 2018 and 2019 the German Championship title in the 4.5t hobby sport class.
For the future the new owners have planned to compete with the Oliver 1955 in 4.5t and 5.5t sport class in the German Championship.
And what do Björn Schütte and his team after they have sold tractor?
They are currently planning and working on a new alcohol fired Oliver component tractor for the 3.5t/7700lbs limited super stock class. The first parts of the new project are in progress but a start for 2021 is not planned at the moment.

New sponsor on Schaendorf's Mini Mod for the 2021 season

Jim and Tyler Schaendorf from Dorr, Michigan in the USA have a new sponsor on their 2050lbs mini mod tractor called ''Max' D Out'' this year. The father/son team have signed a sponsor contract with the US american company called ''Renk Seed'' from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Since last year, the multiple NTPA Grand National champion, Bret Berg from Farmington, Minnesota is also sponsored by Renk Seed with his 4 V8 Hemi powered modified tractor called Money Maker.
Jim and Tyler Schaendorf are very excited to have this company as their sponsor on board for the 2021 season. Both want to compete with the mini in the Lucas Oil PPL Champions Tour and on some other tractor pulls in their country this year.
