Information about the 2021 Superpull in Brande

Already last week, the Danish Tractor Pulling Organization ''DTP'' has revealed the information for their Superpull in Brande on the 30th and 31st of July 2021 on their Facebook site and website. The organization of the pull has confirmed the provisional competitor's list and schedule for their Brande Superpull this upcoming weekend. At the event in Denmark, the best pulling teams from Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, and Sweden will compete against each other in 8 different classes. For Friday on the schedule are the Danish standard tractor classes and the Danish Championship of the 950kg mini mod class. On Saturday will be the main day, with the International guests in the 3.6t and 4.5t farm stock class, the light and heavy modified class, the super stock, and limited super stock class, and in the pro stock class.

R.I.P Ko de Regt

On Saturday morning the 24th of July 2021, we were confronted with a very sad news on the Facebook fansite of the Green Spirit Pulling Team from the Netherlands. The european tractor pulling sport has lost another legend. On the 23rd of July 2021, Ko de Regt, founder and former team boss of the Green Spirit Pulling Team and father of Green Spirit driver Peter de Regt from Biervliet in the Netherlands passed away after an illness at the age of 81.
Ko was one of the founders of the successful Green Spirit Pulling Team, which he has founded together with his son Peter de Regt, Prudent Buyck en Johnny Von Hout in 1984.
In his active time as team principal 7 different pulling tractors were built, from a single V8 Rover powered mod up to a twin Rolls Royce Griffon V12 aircraft powered heavy modified tractor. The most successful tractor of the team was definitely the twin Griffon tractors called ''Green Spirit 4'' and ''Green Spirit 6''. Under the direction of Ko de Regt, the team won with those tractors many national and international titles, like the 2001 European Championship title in Hörby, Sweden, or the 1998 Euro Cup title in the 4.5t modified class.

He also was known as Rolls Royce Griffon V12 airplane engine specialist or the ''Griffon doctor'' in Europe. Ko helped a lot of teams in Europe with their Griffon engines, if they had problems with the engine settings. And he also helped them to get their engines running properly.
Also when other pulling teams need some Griffon parts, he helped them.

Until 2012, he also organized with other people the tractor pulling event in Cadzand.
Even when he handed over his leadership as team boss to his son Peter, he was still very interested in the pulling sport and present on the pulls as spectator.
I can remember, I met Ko for the first time in Eschach-Seifertshofen in 2010.
But I already knew him when I was a child from the TV when I watched tractor pulling on Eurosport in the late 90s.

If I was on a tractor pull event somewhere in Europe and Ko was there with the team too, he always was a nice person to me, and he always asked me how I am and what is new. With Ko, you also could always have a good chat and exchange on an event, and he was every time friendly to everyone.
It is sure, the tractor pulling sport has lost another great person and we will sorely miss him in the future. Ko will always in the mind of the people and will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with the whole family and the Green Spirit Pulling Team.
We wish his wife Lucy, his son Peter, his daughter in law Marion, his granddaughter Amelie, his grandson Stephan Thomaes, his whole family, and the Green Spirit Team a lot of strength to cope with this loss.
