Nice 3rd place finish for the new Bobcat Jr. in Benson

From Ijsselmuiden in the Netherlands, the Screamin´ Bobcat Team made a nice 3rd place finish out of a 18 Tractor field with their new Bobcat Jr. in the 2nd Session of the NTPA Grand National round in Benson, North Carolina, USA. Driver Gert Dingerink made a nice pass with a distance of 314.695 foot, which was enough for a podium place. The winner in this Session was Ken Veney with his Mini Rod called ,,Funny Li´l Farmall´´ and in runner up position was Larry Koester with Footloose. In Session 3, Bobcat Jr. finished in 4th place, but the run wasn´t problem free. In the end of the run the Sassy Racing V8 Hemi engine lost one cylinder and a lot power. The Team found very quick the problem, the result was a damaged piston in the V8 Racing engine. The Winner in the 3rd Session also was Ken Veney with his ,,Funny Li´l Farmall´´, in runner up position was Adam Koester with his new Mini Rod called ,,Walk the Line´´ and in 3rd place was his father Larry Koester with Footloose. The next competition for the new Bobcat Jr. is at the NTPA Super National Pull in Tomah, Wisconsin.

The new Swedish Iron Toy

From Ljungbyhed in Sweden, the Mini Rod of Emil and Olof Roth called ,,Swedish Iron Toy´´ is ready for the season. The Turbocharged Tractor received a new homemade SSAB Docol tube frame with a new SSAB Docol Rollcage (ROP), new Polycarbonat fenders, a Ford 9´´ rear axle with a new homemade rear axle housing, ZF planetaries and a Vreemann differential from the Netherlands.
The drivers position on the new frame is around 60mm more forward and the center of gravety is around 50mm lower than on the old frame. The Team hopes to get a better balance with those changes. The Team also purchased a set of new rims with Cepek tyres from CM Pulling tyres in the USA. The Turbocharged BAE V8 Hemi engine on the Mini Rod got a new larger methanol fuel pump, new bigger injectors and a new oil tank from Aviaid for the new dry sump lubrication.
The Nasty Toy Pulling Team will compete in Swedish Championship and in the Euro Cup this year.
