The main problem was, the Tractor with the old tube frame was too light on the nose, too unstable on good tracks and the Puller 2000 tires made too much traction. All in All the balance of the vehicle wasn't good and then they had some hard crash landings like in Lochem 2016. And last but not least the rearend wasn't anymore strong enough for the power of the engine, which was resulted in a big rear axle damage at the Euro Cup finals in Great Eccleston, Great Britian were the center section broke last season. After the huge rearend damage the season was over for the Team. In the beginning of September they started with searching for parts for the rear axle.
During that time the Boer Family made a nice offer to buy their old Double Screamin' Chassis included with the rear axle after the 2018 Indoor Pull in Zwolle. Shortly after the Pull the completely Chassis with the rearend and the fenders went to Weert in the beginning of February. When the Chassis arrived in their workshop, the real work now could begin to built a new Rocket Science.
The former Double Screamin' Chassis has a Domex 960 sheet metal wedge frame with a chrome-moly Rollcage, a rack and pinion steering and a modified Rockwell rear axle housing. The old Double Screamin' fenders were replaced by new lighter homemade carbon fiber fenders. The old ones were currently further sold to a German Pulling Team. During the building the chassis received some new engine brackets. The Screamin' Bobcat Team was pretty successful with this Double Screamin'. They won from 2009-2017 incredible 22 titles with this vehicle.

The rear wheels on the new ride are a set of used Midwest aluminium rims with Firestone Puller 2000 HP tires. The Puller 2000 tires come from the Boer Family and are going back to then in the of the season.
The transmission is directly attached on the browell aluminium clutch bell housing
The 12.5" inch centrifugal clutch with 4 discs comes from Arjan van de Weeken (Wickie Power Pulling Team) and received a new homemade aluminium fly wheel. The new fly wheel and the new engine plate also were CNC machined by BMO Precision Parts.
The new BMO Rocket Science Light Mod is powered by a turbocharged 6 cylinder DAF 1260XF Semi Truck engine with 12.6l displacement on methanol fuel. The engine was took over of the old Light Mod and was further improved during the last winter. The power plant has a machined DAF 1260XF engine block with homemade sleeves, a billet aluminum head with billet camshafts, a billet steel crankshaft with billet aluminium rods and pistons, a self developed MSD Pro Mag 44 ignition system, a Racepak data logger, a completely new homemade intake and exhaust manifold, 3 Holset HX82 turbochargers in 2 steps, a water injection system too cooling the intake air down, a homemade fuel tank, a Waterman fuel pump and a Aviaid oil pump with a Van der Waal Pulling Parts oil filter.
In this configuration the engine should makes around 3500 HP.
The Rocket Science Pulling Team compete in the NTTO Dutch Grand National Championship and in the Euro Cup this season.
Jack and his Team is very satisfied with the first passes of the new BMO Rocket Science. The best result so far was a second place at the Dutch Championship Pull in Eext.
It's currently a learning season for the Team to find the right balance with the new Chassis. But they are on the right way now.
