The tractor pulling event in Knutwil, Switzerland which was usually planned for the 7th, 8th and 9th of August 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will not be rescheduled this year.

The official statement of the organization:
Knutwiler Powerdays 2020 canceled !!
Since the Federal Council bans major events until the end of August 2020, we have no choice to cancel the Powerdays 2020 due to Corona!
We had a long discussion and planned a postponement to the 12th and 13th of September 2020. Unfortunately, too many points (teams over customs, federal regulations, etc.) are uncertain, therefore the decision.
Buyers of presale tickets will receive a letter in the next few days.
See you in 2021

No Tractor Pulling events in the Netherlands until the 1st of September!
A few weeks ago the Dutch Government announced due to the COVID-19 pandemic that no major events may take place also in the Netherlands until the 1st of September 2020. That also affects the NTTO Dutch Championship schedule in 2020. All pulls from June until the end of August are cancelled now and will not be rescheduled this year.
It's still unclear whether the remaining events in the calendar will take place in September, which depends currently on what the government will decide in the next months.
The statement from the website of the NTTO:
As announced on Tuesday, April 21, there is until August 31, 2020, no possibility to organize events for which a permit is required.
This also includes all truck and tractor pulling events. Although we understand the measures taken, we are of course extremely disappointed that we will have to do without our sport for such a long time.
Nevertheless, we hope for a beautiful summer for all of you, and most importantly we wish you health.

Tractor Pulling against Corona Live Pull
Background:
Early this spring the coronavirus spread from China to Europe and nobody really understood the consequences of this virus. Country by country started to shut down.
I think that most of us thought this will be over until the tractor pulling season starts but after a while, we started to realize that this is going to take a some time.
Event after the event started to cancel, how long is it going to take?
As most people read in the world press Sweden took a different approach against the virus.

We started to look at the regulations from the government and the Swedish authorities, is this possible to do a test day in a safe way?
Our conclusion is yes, it is possible to do this with some additional guideline to the promotors and teams.
After some days we realized that most teams would post their test pull on Facebook, so why not make tv broadcast, and then someone came up with the ide to raise some money to prevent Coronavirus.
So here we are today
This is some of the additional guidelines
Tractors can only be operated by Swedish teams and only 2 team members are allowed (driver and mechanic)
Slot times for the teams, one hour before class start and one hour after and they are not allowed to go and meet the other teams (social distancing and have as less people as possible at the track) Sled teams and officials are natural groups and they are kept as few as possible. There will not be a driver meeting on site instead all information will be sent by E-mail
And of course, we will follow all the updates and guidelines from the government and the Swedish authorities and see that nothing changes until race day, if it does we will look if there is a good solution or if we need to cancel the event.
The live stream broadcast starts 6th of June at 2.00 pm Swedish time with
Hot Farm and Farm Stock
At 6:00 pm Swedish time
Mini modified, modified and Show pulling
50% of revenue goes to Médecins sans frontières – MSF and the rest goes finance the event.
Please spread the word about this event so we can raise as much money as possible.

NTPA Grand National round in Langford cancelled!
From NTPA:
The WPI/NTPA office has been notified by the organizers of the Langford Northeast Nationals that the 2020 edition of that event has been cancelled. The call comes as a consequence of the ongoing COVID-19 emergency and the attendant uncertainty surrounding social gatherings and economic circumstances.
"We thoroughly love bringing all the people to Langford for our event and do not want to compromise anyone," stated the organizers of the pull, the primary beneficiary of which is the Langford-New Oregon Volunteer Fire Company. "Protecting and serving our Community is our first priority, and we take our responsibilty seriously."
Originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 1-2 at New York's historic Langford Tractor Pull Grounds, the pull will not be rescheduled in 2020. The 2021 dates for the event are Saturday and Sunday, July 31-August 1.
The following is the full text of Langford's May 7 release.
Out of an abundance of caution and uncertainty of state and local conditions in the month of August, the Members of the Langford-New Oregon Volunteer Fire Company have made the decision to cancel the Northeast Nationals Tractor Pull scheduled for August 1st & 2nd, 2020.
We thoroughly love bringing all the people to Langford for our event and do not want to compromise anyone. Protecting and serving our Community is our first priority and we take our responsibility seriously.
The Northeast Nationals is our major fundraiser which allows the LNOVFC to function and we take great pride in making the Pull a great event each year. We cannot do this without the volunteer help, support of community and local business. To endanger the physical or financial condition of our great group is risk we cannot afford to take. With all the issues, our sponsors can use our support to get through this challenging time.
We appreciate the support of our Fans, Pullers, Sponsors, Volunteers, Friends, Family, the National Tractor Pullers Association, Empire State Pullers, and WNY Pro Pulling Series.
Mark your Calendars for the "75th Anniversary" edition of the LANGFORD "Northeast Nationals" scheduled for July 31st & August 1st, 2021.
