The Tractor Pulling events in Brande, Oud Gastel, and in Anholt are cancelled due to too wet conditions.
The Danish Championship opener in Brande, Denmark was already cancelled last week due to the wet conditions on the pulling track and in the paddock. The reason for the cancelation was the very wet spring during the last weeks.
Despite the dry weather at the time, the site did not become drier, leading to the cancelation of the event.
This morning came the news that both events Anholt and Oud Gastel were also cancelled due to plenty of rain during the last night.
The event area of Anholt, Germany (close to the Dutch border) was hit by a violent thunderstorm with 40mm rainfall during the last night. That set the pulling track and the paddock underwater. Unfortunately, due to the high amount of rain last night, it is not possible to hold an event on the square under these conditions.
Also, the event location of Oud Gastel, in the Netherlands, was hit by severe weather last night. Like in Anholt, they had so much rain, which also set the whole event location underwater. That also caused unfortunately the cancelation of the pulling competition in Oud Gastel for this weekend.

Brande (DK): We are very sad to make such an announcement, but we have been struggling with water 🌧️🌧️🌧️ on our courses in Brande due to the very wet spring, we had hoped for dry weather ☀️ this week but no, and even though maybe the weather will be good next week, that's not enough. We are very sorry😢
Anholt (GER): Unfortunately we have to cancel our event due to the storm last night.😕
In the last few days we've all been following the weather report every half hour and seeing what it's going to be like. There was always very little rain reported for Thursday. Unfortunately, things turned out differently than hoped. We had 40mm of rain on the site last night and everything is full of water.
We wish we could deliver better news, but unfortunately that's not the case.
Please also let the people you know so that it gets out there as quickly as possible.

It is not possible for us to continue tomorrow's competition program.
Pulling Gastel's competition program has been cancelled!!!
The terrain has turned into 1 nightmare, where all our efforts are not enough to responsibly accommodate all participants with their transport combinations... How incredibly hard it can be to organize an event🥹🥹

If you already have a ticket, it is still valid, and you will receive a drink from us. All ticket buyers will receive an email with an explanation about any possible refund of tickets.
This hits us deep in our pulling hearts! This is also a heavy blow for us as a young foundation that tries to arrange everything down to the last detail. We hope for your understanding and that you will still come and visit us en masse tomorrow for a fantastic evening! We are going to rearrange the site and create a new plan of action....More updates will follow soon.
