No Tractor Pull in Oudenhoorn 2020
The STPO (Stichting Tractor Pulling Oudenhoorn) has announced on their website there will be no tractor pull event in Oudenhoorn, the Netherlands in 2020. But it wasn't the last event there in 2019, they have planned to organize a tractor pull again in Oudenhoorn for 2021.
here is the official statement:
Dear visitor, volunteer, sponsor,
Looking back on our successful anniversary edition, we were already busy with the organization of Truck & Tractor Pulling Oudenhoorn 2020. Unfortunately, we as the board had to decide to skip one year off, so the event will not be held next year.
The umbrella organization, the NTTO, annually assigns a date on which we can hold our beautiful event. For the coming year we were first assigned a date that would be the same as the successful Concert at Sea in Ouddorp.
From experience from a previous edition, we know that this has a lot of effect on our own event. Far fewer visitors will decide to come to Oudenhoorn, which makes it impossible to organize such a big event. After consultation with the NTTO, there was 1 other option, May 16. On this day, however, the final of the Songfestival takes place in Ahoy, Rotterdam. From the point of view of security / available security that is needed in the Rotterdam region, therefore, no other major events can take place simultaneously. That's why we as a board are forced to abandon an event in 2020.
In 2021 we still want to organize the 21st edition of the truck and tractor pulling, so that we can only take a year off. As a board, we hope that we can again count on your visit, commitment and help!

Q & A with Kevin Campbell
Kevin Campbell, 38 years old from Washington, Pennsylvania in the USA. Kevin is the former owner of the V8 903 Cummins powered IH 1066 component super stock tractor called ''Controlled Chaos''. In 2012, he earned his first NTPA Grand National title in the super stock open class with his Controlled Chaos. A year later, he competed for a season with his tractor on different pulling events in Europe, where he also met a lot of European people and puller. Currently, he shares the driving duties of Controlled Chaos with the new owner David Jones from Great Britain. Kevin is also the owner of the Chaos Fabrication LLC Shop in Washington, Pennsylvania.
pullingworld.com: What are you doing in your normal life?
Kevin Campbell: I am the owner of Chaos Fabrication LLC. A business that specialized in truck & tractor parts & fabrication. We do everything from CNC machines to make parts to an engine dyno & test track/sled for testing.
pullingworld.com: What do you like to do in your free time, except Tractor Pulling?
Kevin Campbell: Outside of pulling/work, I enjoy time with my daughter and also rebuild/refurbish CNC & construction equipment.
pullingworld.com: What do you like about Tractor Pulling?
Kevin Campbell: I have always liked the possibility to try new things within the sport. Competition is nice but the challenge of something new is exciting for me.
pullingworld.com: What was your first Tractor Pulling event?
Kevin Campbell: I started at a local level with an antique Farmall tractor when I was 14 and could not give it up.
pullingworld.com: What is your favorite Event / Pulling track?
Kevin Campbell: The event that stands out to me is the Beachpull in Putten (NL). It was my introduction to European pulling and a great start to a lot of great friendships.
pullingworld.com: When and where do you have driven a Pulling Tractor for the first time?
Kevin Campbell: 1st time was locally on my first antique tractor. 1st time pulling an alky tractor testing on our home track. 1st time pulling an alky tractor on the national level was Bowling Green, Ohio (USA).
pullingworld.com: What was your biggest success?
Kevin Campbell: 2012 NTPA Grand National Champion and 7 wins that year.
pullingworld.com: Which Pulling classes do you like too?
Kevin Campbell: Obviously the light and heavy super stock classes but otherwise light pro stock.
pullingworld.com: What was your biggest disappointment?
Kevin Campbell: I can't say that I'm disappointed by much in pulling but missing the National Farm Machinery Show because of breakage from testing would be the biggest disappointment.
pullingworld.com: Which things must be changed in the future of the Tractor Pulling sport?
Kevin Campbell: Better exposure to people who do not normally see any tractor pulling to be able to grow the sport will take getting others and especially children involved
pullingworld.com: What are your plans for the future in Tractor Pulling?
We work at it daily with what we do work-wise. Currently, we have a super stock diesel truck we run for testing and development of products.
pullingworld.com: What was for you the most important moment in the sport?
Kevin Campbell: I don't think there has been any one thing overly important moment in pulling for me. Some of my best times pulling were getting to experience with friends. One of them was 2013 when I was able to stay in Holland for about a month and really be able to experience how others enjoy the sport.
pullingworld.com: What was your favorite Pulling Tractor project in the workshop during a winter?
Kevin Campbell: We work on so many that narrowing it down is difficult But I am looking forward to engine durability testing we have coming up this winter for super stock diesel 6.7 Cummins mothers and light pro IH engines.
pullingworld.com: Something you want to say?
Kevin Campbell: This year makes 24 years in the sport and the best part is there is always something new to learn. The evolution of completion in the classes makes it interesting to see how far things get pushed. It was very interesting to see that things you thought were at their limits a few years ago is passed by and onto a new level.
pullingworld.com: Thank you for your time and good luck for the furture!
