Anholt 2022

This weekend, the tractor pulling sport returns to Anholt for the first time since 2019. After a 2 years break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teams from 5 different European nations will fight for the victory in different classes. After many years with the main program on Sunday at the pull, the organization of the event from Anholt has changed the schedule for 2022. Almost all main classes, which ran their competition on Sunday in the 2019 schedule, were moved to the Saturday afternoon/evening for 2022. The Saturday in Anholt starts with Garden Pulling at 12pm CET. After the 500 kg stock, 500 kg modified, 600 kg compact diesel, and the 600 kg modified class follows the 4.5t hobby sport and the 4.5t sport class. The first really exciting class of the day is the 3.6t super sport class, with the best tractors from all over Germany and a record lineup of 24 competitors. After 3 of 4 hood classes of that day, follows the first high horsepower class with the 950 kg modified class. On the competitors, list are the best mini modified tractors from Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark. That weekend, one German Team will celebrate their return to the mini modified class after a 21 years absence.
Thomas Zimmermann from Ettlenschieß in south Germany returning to the mini mod class with a brand-new Arias V8 powered Joker. The Joker Pulling Team celebrated their biggest successes in this class with many German Championship titles and 2 European Championship titles in the 90s. Also, the new BAE V8 Hemi-powered mini called ''Little Bastard'' of Sven Müller and Sven Riedener from Switzerland will make its maiden run in front of the sled there. But that is not all, the organization of the pull in Anholt also has invited the top mini modified tractors from the Netherlands. The Dutch Teams will use this event as a test before their first championship round in the Netherlands. At the start will be Bobcat Jr., Screamin' Bobcat, Exception, Backdraft, Let's Try, Vampire, Pokerface, and the Hind from the Netherlands.
Another surprise on the list is the new Blacksmed from Denmark. Usually, in Brande, Denmark is the first danish championship round of the year that day, but the owner and driver Flemming Smed has decided not to run in Denmark and drive in Anholt instead. It will be the most exciting class of the day. After the minis follow the 3.5t modified class with all German top teams on the list plus Willem Veldhuizen's twin John Deere alky burner powered Bits N' Pieces as guest puller. The final class of the day will be the 3.5t super stock class. Alongside the German super stock competitors, there are also some of the best Dutch super stock tractors on the list. From the Zeinstra's with their both John Deere's up to Maximum Risk from the Netherlands are quite a few from the list. The end of the event is planned for about 10:30 pm CET.
The competition on Sunday starts at 9 am CET with the competition of the micro pullers in the area. The big tractor pullers on the 100 m track start at 10 am with the 3.5t and 6t hobby sport class. After the 2 hobby sport classes follow the 3.5t limited super stock class with currently 6 competitors on the list. The new Dutch Ford called ''Silver Bullet'' of Martin and Justin van Echtelt will make its first voyage on a pulling track outside the Netherlands there. For another tractor in this class is Anholt the home pull and that is Strapping Lloyd. The Team around event organizer and driver Tobias Paus will also reveal on their home pull the whole new look with the new vinyl graphics on their Case IH limited super stock for the first time.
After the problems in Füchtorf, Tobias and the team hope they can make some nice passes in front of their home crowd. After the limited super stock class, the day will round up with the 3.5t sport class and the 12t stock class.
It is definitely worth making a trip to Anholt, the lineup alone on Saturday and Sunday gives hope for a very interesting competition!
By the note, for everyone who has no time to come to Anholt, the whole pull will be broadcast as livestream at www.wwptv.plus!

This weekend, the European tractor pulling scene starts into its new season. After a 2 years break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tractor pulling circus will be held in Füchtorf, Germany again. Füchtorf also marks the season opener for the German Championship and the Euro Cup 2022. Like at the last edition of the tractor pull in 2019, it will be a 2-day pulling event, with Garden Pulling, Farm Pulling, and Tractor Pulling. The event in the Füchtorf Pulling Arena starts on Saturday, the 23rd of April at 11 am CET. On the schedule are the Garden Pullers with 4 different classes, the 500kg stock class, the 600kg compact diesel class, and the 500kg and 600kg modified class. After the Garden Pulling follows the larger classes in the afternoon with the 3.5t sport class, the 3.5t limited modified class, and the 4.5t sport class. The Saturday will then be rounded off with the 3.5t modified class and the 3.5t pro stock class, included with guest pullers from the Netherlands.
Sunday, the 24th of April 2022 is the main pulling day of the weekend. The competition starts at 11 am CET with the largest class of the weekend, the 3.6t super sport division. After that class follows the 2.5t light modified class and the 3.5t limited super stock class with guests from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. The highlight will be the penultimate class of the weekend, the Euro Cup of the 4t heavy modified division with Europe's most powerful tractors. The last and final class of the day will be the 3.5t super stock class with guest pullers from Denmark and the Netherlands.
On their own organized pull, the Green Monster Pulling Team will also reveal the new look of their overhauled transport trailer for their Allison V1710-powered modified tractors called ''Green Monster Stage 4'', ''Green Monster 5 Mitas Edition'' and ''Green Fighter''.
By the note, for people which have not the time to come to the 2-day event or live somewhere across the pond, the tractor pull from the Füchtorf Pulling Arena will also be live-streamed on WWP TV on both days. For the live stream, check here: https://wwptvus.streamify.io/

2022 Euro Cup and Euro Challenge schedule and competitors

The ETPC  has revealed on their website, the Euro Cup and Euro Challenge rounds and competitors of the 7 different classes for 2022. Due to some uncertainty of the event organizers in Europe, the reveal of the official Euro Cup schedule took a little longer than expected. This year, the Euro Cup Series and Farm Stock Euro Challenge organized by the European Tractor Pulling Committee (ETPC) will be held in 9 different locations in 5 different European countries. It will be the first Euro Cup and Euro Challenge season after a 2 years break due to covid.
3 rounds are in Germany, 2 rounds are in the Netherlands and Denmark, and 1 each in France and in Sweden. New in the 2022 Euro Cup calendar is the event in Kalkar, Germany, with the super stock class. Back on the schedule for 2022 is Sdr. Hygum in Denmark with the Euro Challenge for the 3.6t and 4.5t farm stock division. Also, on the provisional Euro Cup calendar was Hajdúböszörmény in Hungary on the 13th and 14th of August 2022. But the event dropped again from the calendar due to no available ETPC certificated gold sleds on that weekend.
The Euro Cup season kicks off on the 24th of April 2022 in Füchtorf, Germany with the heavy modified division. After the kick-off in Germany, the Euro Cup series will move to Sweden, for round 2 in Lidköping with the heavy mod class in the program on the 20th of May 2022.
Two weeks later, the Euro Cup circus travels to the first of two Euro Cup events in the month of June. And that is the Euro Cup round in Bernay, in France on the 4th of June 2022. France's biggest pull with maybe the biggest crowd in Europe of the year will have 3 Euro Cup classes on the schedule. Bernay marks the season opener for the light modified and super stock class in the Euro Cup series, and the heavy modified class will have its 3rd round of the year.
After another 2 weeks break, it's time for the 4th Euro Cup round at Europe's biggest outdoor tractor pull, the Made's Powerweekend, in Made, the Netherlands on the 18th and 19th of June. The 3 track pull in the Netherlands will also host the first round of the Euro Challenge for the 3.6t and 4.5t farm stock class. Made also kicks off the Euro Cup season for the mini modified and pro stock class. All in all, Made will have all 5 Euro Cup classes and both Euro Challenge classes on the schedule for 2022.
After Made's Powerweekend, the whole Euro Cup circus will make a 3 weeks break. The month of July will be the month with the most Euro Cup events of the year. After that break, the Euro Cup returns again to the Netherlands.
On the 9th of July, the Beachpull in Putten will host round number 5 of the Euro Cup Series and the second round of the Euro Challenge. The organization of the event has booked the light modified and mini modified class and the 3.6t and 4.5t farm stock class. Only 7 days later, the Euro Cup moves to round 6 in Edewecht, Germany on the 16th of July 2022. The organized event by the Red Shadow Sled Team has booked the pro stock division like in 2019.
After the second trip to Germany, then comes the Denmark doubleheader with Sdr. Hygum and Brande. On the 23rd of July, the Euro Challenge for farm stock tractors returns to Sdr. Hygum for the first time since 2018.
The organizers of the pull there have both farm stock classes booked for the day. That is also the final round of the season for the 3.6t and 4.5t farm stock class in the Euro Challenge.
On the 29th and 30th of July 2022 comes the Euro Cup circus to the Brande, Denmark for round 8. The event in the Brande Pulling Arena will have all 5 Euro Cup classes there this year. For 4 classes, the mini modified, pro stock, light modified and heavy modified division will be the final Euro Cup round of the year. Also, new for the first time that year, the Euro Cup in Brand will be held on a Friday evening and a Saturday afternoon, instead of a Saturday and Sunday.
After a silent August without a Euro Cup round, the Euro Cup continues for the last time in 2022. That last and final Euro Cup round in 2022 will be held in Kalkar, Germany on the 11th of September. Already in 2019, Kalkar has hosted the Euro Challenge season final for the 4.5t farm stock class. But this year, they will have for the first time a Euro Cup class at that event. They will host the final Euro Cup round of the super stock class on that date.
From the Euro Cup and Euro Challenge events to the Euro Cup and Euro Challenge competitors.
On the released competitor's list for the 2022 season, a total of 61 competitors from 9 different European countries have registered in 7 classes.
11 in the light mod class, 15 in the super stock class, 11 in the mini mod class, 6 in the pro stock class, 6 in the heavy mod class, 11 in the 3.6t farm stock class, and 7 in the 4.5t farm stock class. This year have fewer competitors registered for the Euro Cup and Euro Challenge compared to 2019. That also maybe currently depends on the high traveling and fuel costs.
But most of the top teams have signed in to the Euro Cup and Euro Challenge like in the last years again. But there are also some new exciting competitors and tractors on the list which have not competed in the Euro Cup and Euro Challenge the years before.
