Yesterday evening I paid a short visit at the event place of Edewecht, where the TTE guys are busy preparing everything for this weekends pulling event. Despite the place being a little wet everything looked fine and the weather forecast is also good. So we can expect two days of Tractor Pulling at it's best. Saturday will feature Garden, Stock and Hot Farm Pulling and on Sunday a round for the german championships will be held along with several guest pullers. Both Bits'n Pieces machines, both Green Spirits, Black Power, Fox, Landy, White Crow, Bad Boy's Toy Backdraft and Roude Leiw Junior are on the list. Additionally there will probably be two maiden runs: The new Boomerang, a 3,5t modified with a Curtiss Wright radial and the chances are good to see the Dragon Fire there, with a running engine. Paul had the engine fired up this week and tries all to bring it to Edewecht.
When talking about Edewecht, we must not forget to mention the Puller Party in the beer tent on Saturday night, which is probably the best of them all. This year it's free entry so it should be really good!
For the northern dutch and frisian fans:
Edewecht is just a "stone throw" away from the north sea coast, right below Friesland, west of Oldenburg, near Westerstede and really easy to reach by the dutch A7, german A28 or the Dutch A28 onto the german A31 (the brandnew "superspeedway" with neither traffic nor speed limit) / A28,
